Postecoglou insisted he is happy at TottenhamUnlikely to replace Klopp at LiverpoolJust getting started at the North London clubWHAT HAPPENED?
Ever since Klopp revealed his intention to leave Liverpool at the end of the current season, several top managers across the world, including Postecoglou have been linked with the soon-to-be vacant role. But the Tottenham boss has now refuted claims of him moving to Merseyside next season.

Speaking to reporters, the Spurs boss said, "I may be on a shortlist. I don’t think I want to say anything about that because I don’t think that’s ever going to enter my brain space for what are my priorities in life and profession right now."
The manager further added that he is only getting started at the North London club and still has a long way to go. He said, "Well I am. Not just feel — I am. I’ve only been here seven months, so that’s self-explanatory. I’ve been at pains to say we’ve still got a long way to go in terms of the football we want to play, the team we want to be, and the squad we want to have. We’ve had two positive windows. I think we’ve had a decent campaign so far, but we’ve got a long way to go.
"That’s the funny space when we talk about managers. When we’re not going well, then there are questions about whether we’re going to be here. When you’re potentially going OK there’s still the question about whether you’re going to be here. The reality of it is that most of it is out of our hands. I’m never worried about that."

Other than the former Celtic coach, Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has been strongly linked with a move to the club after his brilliant performance with the German club this season. He has managed to keep Leverkusen unbeaten in the Bundesliga thus far and they currently enjoy a five-point lead at the top of the table.
