Silva had previously been tipped for a move to Manchester United but his high wages and age may put the Red Devils off a late approach. The 113-cap international spent two years as a youth player at Fluminense before catching the eye there as a senior player six years later, earning him a move to AC Milan. A reunion in Brazil looks inevitable before the defender hangs up his boots for good.
